March 29, 2021 MMC Nurse Recognized as a “Healthcare Hero” Congratulations to Hannah Gajewski, RN, on being a Healthcare Hero! A grateful family recently recognized Hannah in a letter that reads, in part: “Hannah is a stellar performer and person, who gave my husband hope, support and love, which were all needed as much as the medicines administered – but her ‘medicine’ was his favorite. Hannah reminded him of how much he was loved during his battle with COVID. She would shape her hands and fingers into a heart shape through the window for him to see and wrote messages backwards on the glass to be sure he had everything he needed. She also took the time to figure out the iPad to ensure we would be able to communicate with him – this was awesome! But, her smile, to this day, is remembered by him the most.
