I hope everyone had a safe and uplifting No Kings Day. I know our national team at Stand Up for Science certainly did. This month has left me with a surprising take away that I want to share. One aspect of our work at Stand Up for Science is identifying gaps in resistance and filling them. During our preparations for our National Day of Action on March 7th, some members of our community encouraged us to host an accessible rally for folks who couldn’t join in person. People joined massive rallies in protest against Donald Trump’s decision to enter into war with Iran, as well as against rising living costs and federal immigration enforcement. Organisers said they expected Saturday’s protest to be the largest to date, after the last No Kings rally in October drew 7 million people nationwide.
