MaineHealth Government Affairs’ Regulatory Changes & Guidance Updates is an internal newsletter that is distributed weekly and includes state and federal proposed and final rules, policy changes, and other pertinent announcements from the state and federal governments. Please note that any formal submissions to the state or federal government on behalf of MaineHealth are coordinated by the Government Affairs Team.

State Programs & Announcements

  • OMS issued an update on the status of the temporary MaineCare payment holds.
  • OMS published the recording and presentation from the March 31 kickoff meeting for the rate review process for Interpreter Services.
  • OMS will be hosting a draft rate review forum on April 14 at 1pm for Sections 18, 20, 21, and 29 and the new Lifespan Waiver.
  • Maine EMS published a Clinical Bulletin about the closure of hospital OB services.

Federal Programs & Announcements

  • The American Hospital Association has compiled a tracker of the actions the Trump administration has taken that may be of interest to hospitals and health systems. The tracker will be updated regularly as new actions are released; we are also including information about ongoing litigation for key actions. The most recent version of the tracker can be found on the Government Affairs SharePoint site.
