National Resource for Quantitative Proteomics - Proteomics Workshops
Proteomics Workshops
The IDeA National Resource for Quantitative Proteomics offers multiple workshops per year. These workshops are open to users nation-wide at all skill levels.
- The Symposium for Core Directors and Staff is targeted to faculty and staff operating proteomics facilities in IDeA-states.
- The Fundamentals for Proteomics Workshop is designed as a two-day crash course in all things proteomics.
- The Fundamental of Quantitative Proteomics Traveling Workshop closely matches the AR-based workshop. In the traveling workshop, two National Resource staff to their institution to provide a 1-day compressed version of the 2-day workshop.
Symposium for Core Directors and Staff
Topics from our 2024 workshop included implementing DIA workflows, bioinformatics, core administration, and best business practices. These topics change each year in order to stay on the cutting-edge. The National Resource pays all travel-associated expenses to bring 15 proteomics attendees to our resource for this symposium each year.
The 2025 workshop will be held March 12-13, 2025. The deadline to apply is December 15, 2024.
Fundamentals of Quantitative Proteomics Workshop
We will continue to offer Fundamentals of Quantitative Proteomics Workshops for faculty, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers. A version of this workshop has been provided since 2017. This is a two-day, on-site workshop providing background on quantitative proteomics, training on experimental design, and information on how to use data in support of funding and publications. Attendees receive lecture-style presentations, and breakout sessions are given on bioinformatics and experimental design. The National Resource pays all travel-associated expenses to bring attendees on-site for these free workshops. We will offer 1 workshop annually for 15 attendees. Workshops are recorded and posted to our website and YouTube channel.
